The site for the beach house is a isolated bay contained by steep hills covered in native bush. The design challenge was to insert a structure into the environment in such a way as to be as unimposing and sympathetic as possible. Optimizing a property situated in a tropical region known for harsh weather conditions was also challenge. The location offers a distinctive panoramic view of the expansive Sea and the surrounding natural landscape.
