Don’t look for change, be the change
— Christopher Breedy

Based in Canada’s capital, Ottawa, Christopher Breedy is currently a project estimator with a civil engineering background, who dedicates his spare time to designing homes.

How it started

Growing up, Christopher Breedy had a strong inclination toward design, whether it involved assembling Legos or creating contraptions with K’nex. In his senior year of high school, Christopher enrolled in a Technological Design class where the teacher's passion towards the importance of good design motivated Christopher to pursue a higher education in civil engineering.

While studying civil engineering at Carleton University, Christopher started designing homes and became captivated by the process. Currently, Christopher Breedy boasts a portfolio of over 50 designs ranging from tiny cabins to modern mansions.

The process

The process begins with sketching initial ideas on paper. Subsequently, Autodesk AutoCAD is used to design the floorplan. The floorplan is then exported for 3D modeling and interior design using SketchUp. Twinmotion is utilized to design the environment, landscape, as well as confirm materials. Finally, the rendering phase, encompassing both images and animations, is carried out using Twinmotion.
